Historique :	"Télescope du 3e quart du 18e siècle, réalisé par l'anglais Benjamin Martin (1704-1782). Martin et Gonichon, son analogue parisien, sont alors réputés pour la qualité de leurs instruments. Ce télescope (en anglais ""reflecting telescopes"") est vraisemblablement un télescope ""grégorien"" (miroir secondaire concave que l'on déplace pour faire la mise au point avec une petite molette à coté de l'oculaire fixe). Ce montage optique inventé par Gregory d'Aberdeen avait l'avantage de redresser les images (permettant ainsi un usage ""terrestre"")."
