Historique :	Si dans un premier temps ce tableau semblait représenter la famille de Louis-Augustin d'Hombres, l'inscription en bas à gauche nous oriente désormais vers la famille Borelli de Serres. Le personnage assis à gauche serait ainsi Thomas Alexis Borelli, sieur de Serres, receveur général des finances à Mende, père de Sébastienne Borelli de Serres (1810-1890) qui épouse en 1826 le baron Charles d'Hombres (1803-1883). A droite se tient Geneviève Marie Sébastienne du Parc, épouse de Thomas Alexis (mariage à Paris le 19 décembre 1799). Au centre du tableau sont les grands parents avec leurs petits enfants.
