Description :	Alors qu’un incendie se déclare dans les combles d’une maison du village, dont le propriétaire apparaît sur le seuil, les bras levés en signe de désespoir, des hommes ont dressé une grande échelle sur la façade afin d’atteindre les lieux du sinistre. Un se prépare à monter avec une hache, tandis qu’un couple de villageois arrive avec des seaux d’eau. Pendant ce temps, deux femmes sont agenouillées en prière devant le Saint-Sacrement exposé sur le maître-autel de l’église paroissiale : la juxtaposition de la statue de Notre-Dame de Grâce sous son baldaquin dans cette même scène semble signifier que le vœu a été formulé à la Vierge de Rochefort.
